CONTROL JOINT FILLING

A variety of materials are available for filling saw-cut control joints and cracks. The most common are polyurea, semi-rigid epoxy and polyurethane.

Installation of joint material is done with a plural component pump, which allows for high productivity. Standard sawing and routing equipment is used to clean and prep joint prior to installation of joint material.

Virtually all concrete slabs have saw-cut control joints. Forklift traffic can easily breakdown the edges of the joint. A properly filled joint should minimize or eliminate wear of the joint edges.

Routing and sealing with a joint material is the most effective method of crack repair. This prevents further opening of the crack and protects the crack edges.
